Before getting into where to find Bream, though, it is important to mention that players will need to use Lures or Lugworms to catch them. Both of these baits can be purchased from the Tackle Shopkeeper in Seafront, with the former costing 100 Gold and the latter costing 10 Gold, and NieR Replicant fans may want buy several of each. This is due to the fact that Bream can prove to be slightly elusive, and catching them may requires quite a lot of bait.

Once a player has stocked up on Lures and Lugworms, they are ready to start fishing for Bream, and they should focus their efforts on the Seafront Pier. For full clarity, this is the area where the Old Man that offers the Fisherman’s Gambit side quests resides, and fans will likely have already fished it for both Blowfish and Sardines in NieR Replicant. As previously mentioned, it may take a little while to pull a Bream out of this body of water, but players that are persistent will eventually find success.

After catching the requisite number of Bream, fans should return to the Old Man to complete The Fisherman’s Gambit Part 4 and collect their reward. Specifically, NieR Replicant players that finish this side quest will earn an increase to their fishing skill and also unlock the ability to buy Bream from the Fishmonger in Seafront. Furthermore, these fans will gain access to the next part of this lengthy quest chain, which centers around obtaining five Black Bass.

To note, the fishing skill increase that is offered as a reward will make it possible for players to finally catch sharks. This is something that fans will need to do in order to tackle NieR Replicant’s Bon Appetit side quest, which is initiated by speaking with the Tavern Keeper in Seafront. While completing that quest is entirely optional, players that have been trying to clear it out of their logs may be happy to learn that it is now possible to do so.

NieR Replicant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
