With Fortnite almost always sitting at the top of the Twitch directory, it’s no surprise that one of the most popular Fortnite streamers would bring in the most views on Twitch. However, what is more surprising is how much of a difference there is between first and second place on the listings. The data compiled ranks channels according to total number of hours watched, and Ninja came in with 226.85 million hours in 2018. Second place goes to Riot Games which pulled in 99.31 million views – that’s a 127.54 million view difference! Third place is Shroud with around 97.07 million views, and then Overwatch League with 74.60 million views.

Fortnite clearly brings in the views when it comes to Twitch, but it also makes a lot of money for developer Epic Games. This year, Epic Games reportedly made approximately $3 billion in profit from Fortnite, despite the Battle Royale mode being free-to-play. With Fortnite being on nearly every platform at this point, players on every system are cashing in money to get Battle Passes and skins for the Battle Royale mode.

With each passing season, players flock back to the popular Battle Royale mode to see what is new and what has changed. This season is all about winter, and players are tasked with shooting snowflake decorations, thanking the bus driver, and many more unique tasks. While the next season of Fortnite is still a mystery, it will likely cause yet another big shake up for fans to enjoy, but players will have to wait and see what that change will be.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
