The first portion of the Super Smash Bros. wave will consist of Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Olimar, Bowser Jr., and Dr. Mario, and they are all set to be made available in North America beginning September 11, 2015. They will also be joined by two differently colored versions of the previously announced 8-Bit Mario amiibo on the same day, alongside the hotly anticipated Super Mario Maker for Wii U.
Not content with those, Nintendo also announced that North American fans can look forward to a retro three-pack that comes equipped with Duck Hunt, R.O.B., and Mr. Game & Watch amiibo on September 25, 2015. These are all part of a single package, which means that fans won’t likely be able to purchase them from American retailers individually – although they certainly can import them that way from markets outside of N.A..
As those that have been following recent developments on amiibo will immediately point out, there are still a number of additional figures that have yet to receive a formal release date. The recently revealed Mewtwo toy is one such option that’ll be made available to consumers later in the year – presumably alongside Falco – while Smash fans can also anticipate the arrival of a three-pack featuring the Mii Brawler, Mii Gunner, and Mii Swordfighter at some point in November.
With the likes of Yoshi’s Woolly World and Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival primed to offer up even more of the collectibles later this year, it’s evident that Nintendo has no plans on slowing down the production of its incredibly successful amiibo figurines just yet. With that in mind, stay tuned to Game Rant for more news on any and all amiibo developments.
