The success of the Nintendo Switch is undeniable at this point. In 2020 the Switch had the best year of any console ever, save the Wii in 2008. Mario was a big part of that, and now Nintendo is looking to continue that success with discounts on some of the big Mario titles.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 for $38.99 instead of $59.99
Mario Tennis Aces for $38.99 instead of $59.99
Super Mario Maker 2 for $38.99 instead of $59.99
Super Mario Party $38.99 instead of $59.99
The discounted games this year may not seem as big-name as last year’s discounted MAR10 day games. Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe were all titles that received large price cuts last year that are not on the list this time around, at least so far. It does seem like a surprise that Super Mario Odyssey, for example, is not discounted. Perhaps come March 10th the game will be slashed in the eShop after all, but it just has not been mentioned yet.
Especially with games like the well-received Super Mario 3D All-Stars – which is soon to be taken off shelves completely having been released since last year’s MAR10 Day, one would perhaps expected that Mario title to have received a discount as well. Meanwhile, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury just launched last month, but perhaps it would be too ambitious to already discount that platform adventure.
