The irony is that as more people begin to self-quarantine at home, the sales of Nintendo Switch consoles, games, and other peripherals have spiked all over the world. Thus, as more people begin to buy and use Nintendo systems, there’s obviously been a major influx of console breakdowns and technical issues. However, with no Nintendo repair stores open in North America, there’s, unfortunately, no place for console owners to get their systems or controllers repaired.

Luckily, Nintendo has announced that repair stores will slowly begin to reopen all across North America. It will ultimately depend on the safety guidelines of the State or province, but this is overall good news. This means that consumers won’t have to buy another console just to stay occupied.
It’s nice to see that Nintendo has remained open and reactive towards its community of fans during these tumultuous times. Though, the company has had its share of rough patches as well. Back in early May of this year, the Nintendo Switch online services were inaccessible for a period of time. This was likely due to the increase in online user activity during the months of quarantine.
With the reopening of the Nintendo repair shops, console owners will be able to have their issues resolved and continue to enjoy playing games on the Nintendo Switch. However, Nintendo purportedly still has a lot of irons in the fire in terms of what’s to come for the Nintendo Switch. Rumor has it a Nintendo Direct is set to premiere sometime in June, so fans are definitely looking forward to that.
Nintendo is one of the most successful and renowned gaming studios of all time. Its extensive library of consoles and games have impacted the world on both a cultural and social level. The studio’s most recent console, the Nintendo Switch, has received worldwide critical acclaim and success.
