In the past, Nintendo has released designs for Diablo 3, Pokemon Let’s Go, Breath of the Wild, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and more. Each of these designed Switches has its own special flair. So, here are ten Switch designs fans are craving.
10 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX
The new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game will release on March 6, which is less than a month away. Pokemon has always been a big franchise on the Nintendo platform. Pokemon Let’s Go, and Pokemon Sword and Shield had their own special edition Switch consoles. The Sword and Shield was a Switch Lite, but it was impressive, nonetheless.
Switch, and Pokemon fans would most likely get a gorgeous Switch design with this game. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX has a very colorful world made from what looks to be watercolor. Watercolor is a unique form of painting and would make for a gorgeous looking Switch.
9 Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Fire Emblem: Three Houses released back in July of 2019. Since then, the game has received several pieces of downloadable content and has shaken the tides of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This series is similar to the Pokemon franchise in that it has always been a beloved Nintendo fan favorite.
A Fire Emblem: Three Houses Switch edition could be plastered with the colorful characters from the game. Each house could also be represented on the backplate of the dock. Regardless of the design, this Switch design would send many into a panic.
8 Tetris
Tetris is one of the most well-known video games of all time. Non-gamers have most likely heard of Tetris or have played the game before. Tetris has had several different iterations since the first game in 1984. Nintendo has an exclusive version of the game known as Tetris 99, so a Tetris Switch would look spectacular. Plus, Tetris 99 received a great reception.

Tetris’ unique style and look would give the Switch a must-have design. The Joy-Cons could be a wall of tetromino pieces. The dock can also feature a similar design or simply feature the colorful title text. Tetris is a colorful game and should be represented as so in any kind of console design.
7 Minecraft
Similar to Tetris, Minecraft is another game with a massive following. Ever since its launch in 2009, the game has only surged in popularity. Microsoft and Nintendo have allowed cross-play between Minecraft players, which has only opened the door to new creations and communities.
Xbox has seen Minecraft designs such as creeper and pig controller. Minecraft’s art design makes it an easily identifiable game. Nintendo’s Joy-Cons would look exceptional with Minecraft-themed colors and blocks. Nintendo and Microsft already have a healthy relationship, so this would only set that relationship in stone.
6 Cuphead
Cuphead first arrived to Xbox One before eventually making its way to the Switch. Cuphead is one of many Microsoft first-party titles to make it to the portable console. If Nintendo doesn’t release a Minecraft Switch, then Cuphead would be a fun alternative. Cuphead is stylistic in gameplay, characters, color, and more.
The Cuphead and Mugman characters could be represented on both Joy-Cons. Nintendo could keep the standard red and blue scheme but add their faces to each Joy-Con. This Switch design only makes sense considering Cuphead is almost always in the top-selling section of the Nintendo e-shop.
5 Playdead
Playdead was established in 2006 and has only developed two games: Limbo and Inside. Both of these games were met with critical acclaim and continue to be benchmarks in the puzzle platforming genre. Both of their spectacular games are on the Nintendo Switch and play exceptionally well.

Nintendo has done a great job of allowing indie developers to publish their games on the platform. A Playdead Switch would make for excellent design. The Joy-Cons could feature both game’s color schemes or art styles in a really unique way. This Switch design would really showcase the indie presence on the Switch.
4 Marvel
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Even though it was met with okay reception, a Switch design around this series or the brand, in general, would be very impressive. The Marvel brand has been very profitable in recent years, and Nintendo can piggyback off that success.
Disney and Nintendo already have a relationship when it comes to Switch designs. Both companies teamed up to create the Disney-themed Switch in Japan. The Switch featured purple and pink Joy-Cons with simple Disney characters printed on the Switch dock. A Switch with various Marvel characters would make for a one-of-a-kind console.
3 Assassin’s Creed
Ubisoft has released a handful of Assassin’s Creed titles on the Switch platform. These games run really well on the portable console, and an outfit from the series even appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If the next Assassin’s Creed game releases on the Switch day one, then a special edition console would make for a pleasant surprise.
The color of the Joy-Cons could vary greatly, but many fans of the series may recommend the Ezio colors: red and white. Furthermore, the console itself could easily feature the creed logo or characters from the entire franchise.
2 Overwatch
Overwatch has finally made it to the Switch, but the game will be getting a sequel in the near future. That said. Overwatch 2 should consider working with Nintendo to create an Overwatch-themed console. The Joy-Cons could easily feature the silver and yellow logo.
In addition, the characters could appear on the dock similar to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch. The logo could also appear on the back panel, so it isn’t left out of the cool design. Overwatch is a colorful and characterized title, which makes for a great Switch design.
1 Doom Eternal
Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons release on the same day. These two games will battle it out among gamers, and we will have to wait and see which one wins. Animal Crossing has been privileged with a custom Switch design, but Doom Eternal is left without one.
So, Bethesda and Nintendo should work together in order to create one Hell of a good looking console. The first Doom runs really well on the console, and Doom Eternal is expected to do the same. So, Nintendo and Bethesda need to start designing a killer Switch for all those demon slayers out there.
