Looking back, both Sega and Nintendo’s consoles seem to have fair price points, but adjusted for inflation it paints a different picture. Gold Points are points that are rewarded to players based on the amount they spend on DLC or downloading software, like full games, on the Nintendo Switch. The points are awarded at a 5% rate and each point is worth one cent in US Dollars. Players will earn each 5% on eligible digital purchases on Nintendo.com or the Nintendo eShop, and 1% will be earned on physical purchases for the Switch....

Nintendo plans on shipping this new package beginning immediately, and promises that it’ll be on store shelves in the United States by October 28th. The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled on Thursday that the case must go to arbitration. This means Vergara must have an arbitrator decide whether he is even allowed to bring suit against Nintendo or whether, upon purchasing a Switch, he consented to the terms of an end-user license agreement that requires arbitration for all claims related to Nintendo’s console and accessories. Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s box art shows just what’s in store via Tom Nook’s Deserted Island Getaway Package. An assortment of classic Animal Crossing gameplay is teased, including fishing, bug catching, and crafting, along with many customization options. It also shows a variety of Animal Crossing’s animal villagers doing fun things like sunbathing, reading books, and just being social. It’s also interesting that it shows the player’s camping tent, which they’ll have at the start of the game, rather than a built-up home....

Nintendo hasn’t held a live conference at E3 since 2013, but has instead released a Nintendo Direct video to YouTube the same week as the influential tradeshow to reveal new games, hardware, and other plans. With E3 no longer on the cards this year thanks to COVID-19 most expected that Nintendo would still hold an online reveal as usual, but VentureBeat reports that the E3 Direct won’t land in June, and perhaps not until the very end of summer....

The United States’ Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reviewed a production prototype for the Nintendo Switch and noted that “The Battery is had built-in in the EUT, and the user can’t remove the battery.” Although the review model is just that – a prototype – the FCC filing also notes that this is the version of the Nintendo Switch could be mass-produced....
