Monday morning Itagaki announced the formation of his new studio, Itagaki Games. The announcement was made on Facebook, where he confirmed that he’s started the company with the intent of focusing on game creation once more. All that Itagaki shared beyond that is that Itagaki Games is not affiliated with Tecmo, which published his Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games, nor is it related to Valhalla Game Studios, which Itagaki co-founded and made Devil’s Third with....

With Fortnite almost always sitting at the top of the Twitch directory, it’s no surprise that one of the most popular Fortnite streamers would bring in the most views on Twitch. However, what is more surprising is how much of a difference there is between first and second place on the listings. The data compiled ranks channels according to total number of hours watched, and Ninja came in with 226....

Sales for Nintendo’s other ventures, like its amiibo figures, also dropped in the last six months. Nintendo believes that amiibo aren’t selling as well as they were last year due to a lack of titles supporting the figures. This could be true, but it’s also worth noting that interest in toys-to-life games is waning in general, with Disney outright canning the Disney Infinity franchise altogether. While it seems as though the public is losing interest in toys-to-life games, Nintendo is not wrong in its statement that there haven’t been many new releases that use the figures....

With all the recent re-imaginings of games like Resident Evil 2 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, plenty of early 3D titles are starting to become retro history. Plenty of games from several console generations previous have been receiving definitive editions, HD remasters, and even full-on remakes. In the case of the Nintendo 64, there are tons of beloved games that could be considered archaic by today’s standards in a lot of ways....

For starters, Nintendo’s Super Mario Odyssey won the Best of Show award and Best Console Game, while Best Original Game went to Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Additionally, those two titles were the only ones that won in multiple categories, with Odyssey receiving the Best Action/Adventure Game award over strong competition such as Assassin’s Creed Origins and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, while Kingdom Battle topped the Best Strategy Game category....

Apart from the release date, plenty of other things were shown off in the new gameplay trailer. Returning characters like Rodan, Jeanne, and Luca were confirmed. A new addition to Bayonetta 3 was also introduced in Viola, who is a witch training under Bayonetta. As well as side characters appearing in the trailer, it seems that another version of the titular protagonist may show up in Bayonetta 3, as displayed in a screenshot Nintendo has since put up on its Twitter....

Just a matter of days ago, Cena lost his WWE Championship after being locked in the Elimination Chamber with Bray Wyatt and four other competitors. Nintendo Japan recently revealed the required storage space for digital versions of some of the Nintendo Switch launch titles. While the games vary in requirements, there’s one game in particular that some has already pushed past the storage space of the Nintendo Switch as it comes in the box. That game is Dragon Quest Heroes. The Nintendo Switch comes packaged with 32GB of internal storage, but only 29.5GB are available to users after the space used by the console’s operating system, as reported by Polygon....

On May 13 at 9:00 AM PT/Noon ET, a special Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl event will be held, in partnership with gaming website IGN. The subject of the event is simple. Expect to hear some “character news” for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which likely means that new characters could be revealed during the show....

Earlier this month, the developers/publisher revealed that the next collaboration event would be with Capcom’s Monster Hunter series, specifically Monster Hunter Rise. The event will add a variety of customization items that come straight from the action-RPG franchise, such as Avatar Costumes, Emotes, and more.
