Nikki Cross recently spoke to Digital Spy about her budding friendship with ‘The Goddess’ where she said the two always got along while on NXT together, but the real bond started to form once they were both on Monday Night RAW. The chemistry grew strong enough backstage that Cross says it only made sense to bring their friendship to the TV screen. Bliss and Cross won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from The IIconics back in August....

Cruz pleaded guilty to 17 counts of first-degree murder last fall. Jurors were sworn in last month to decide whether Cruz will be sentenced to the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole. The penalty phase of his case could take four months. Day 1 Begins With Opening Statements Cruz’s sentencing hearing began Monday morning at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Family members of some of the victims were photographed arriving at the courthouse before proceedings began....

Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, San Antonio and Santa Clara, Calif., were announced by Hancock while speaking with reporters in Florida. The sites for the future games are expected to be announced in October. On July 25, an image was posted on Ninja’s Instagram page, claiming to give away thousands of iPhone Xs’, V-Bucks, and many more. While the V-Bucks giveaway makes sense due to the streamer’s affiliation with Fortnite, the promise of free iPhones confirmed that the post was not genuine, given Ninja’s partnership with Samsung and its Galaxy line of mobile devices. If a new developer diary is anything to go off, it seems the latter is shaping into something pretty special, with the footage highlighting the advanced graphics that will be front and center throughout the game. According to Ninja Theory’s Chief Creative Officer, Tameem Antoniades, the title will be a concise but innovative project for the studio, with it using a series of ambitious, state of the art visual techniques....

As a result of this, an online movement called ‘Miiquality’ was started, which gathered a massive amount of attention across a broad range of news and media outlets. This movement, despite being a very clever combination of the words ’equality’ and ‘Mii’ (the avatars featured within the game), lead to a petition for Nintendo to patch the game and allow players to enter same-sex relationships. The house of Mario has since released an official statement apologizing for not allowing users to engage in an in-game relationship with whoever they want, but stated that it’s unable to change the content in Tomodachi Life with a single patch....

One of the most significant announcements to spawn from the event is that the house of Mario will be releasing Nintendo DS software on the Wii U. Following suite with a number of NES and SNES games that are currently available on the system, Ninty announced that it’s confident in its ability to port DS titles to the Wii U and will be doing so via the platform’s Virtual Console service....

Nintendo has had plenty of success with the 3DS in the last year (thanks to the always popular Zelda and Pokemon franchises) and even the Wii U seems to be recovering from its slow start with the help of Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and all of the exciting games announced at E3. According to a Kotaku interview with Nintendo’s Shinya Takahashi, Metroid may soon join the long list of highly anticipated games in development for the Wii U or 3DS....

Nintendo is apparently butting heads with technology juggernaut Apple over its production line. A new report suggests that because of its desire to increase production of the Nintendo Switch, it is having to compete with companies like Apple (as well as other smartphone makers) for production parts. However, this is a battle that the video game company may not be able to win. Analysts point out that “rivals for the sought-after parts can often offer better terms than Nintendo....

The idea at face value does seem odd. An automatically generated rating made specifically for any given doesn’t seem productive, since the point of ratings is to get perspective from others. Nintendo’s patent focuses instead of providing ratings based on what it believes the user’s perspective to be. In other words, it’s a system that generates ratings based on what it believes the user is a fan of or what they’d want to play....

In 2018, it seems that Nintendo is working on such an accessory of its own. Patents filed by the company back in March, 2017 show a design for a wallet-style phone case that would make a person’s phone look just like the classic handheld. The case, according to the images in the patent filing, uses a portion of the phone’s touchscreen as the Game Boy screen. As seen below, the case features all of the expected buttons (a D-Pad, A and B buttons, select and start)....

Marking the announcement, Fils-Aime released a special video message saying goodbye and thank you to all of Nintendo’s fans. Fils-Aime goes on to say how meaningful it is to him to see the smiles that Nintendo puts on people’s faces, as well as how he’s found those smiles on his own face in turn. Oftentimes Nintendo has run its own casual-leaning tournaments during major industry events or online, but most professional players are generally more accustomed to a competitor-friendly format. Major tournaments, and more recently tournament circuits, have been reserved for private endeavors by various esports organizations, even partnering with Twitch. However, Nintendo has rarely sponsored events for Super Smash Bros. tournaments outside of its own wheelhouse, and even when certain events like CEO or Genesis were co-sponsored by Nintendo, it didn’t amount to much more than endorsement....

Throughout the years following Bayonetta 3’s announcement, the tension between its fans and developer Platinum Games, specifically Hideki Kamiya, increased as both Platinum and Nintendo had promised fans that the game’s development was running smoothly. The Nintendo Switch is the latest console from the famous game developer and publisher Nintendo. It’s very versatile, being able to play in handheld mode and connect to a TV via an HDMI cord, and with more impressive hardware than previous handheld consoles, it can handle a lot of more performance-heavy games. There are the usual Nintendo titles, along with a lot of popular AAA titles on the Switch like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Overwatch 2, and more....

Nintendo’s relationship to the GameCube has been pretty strange in recent years, at times remembering it fondly and in others forgetting it exists entirely. For example, Nintendo added GameCube controller support to Super Mario Sunshine in the Super Mario 3D All-Stars pack, either through the GameCube controller dongle, or through a USB GameCube Pro Controller. While a nice gesture, it was one of the few things that GameCube fans would get as there doesn’t seem to be any sort of GameCube Virtual Console, or remaster of a beloved GameCube title on the way....

Joining this small list of companies with confirmed Nintendo Switch games is Warner Bros. In a tweet published to the WB Games Twitter account earlier today, the publisher revealed that LEGO CITY Undercover will be released for the Nintendo Switch, as well as PC, PS4 and Xbox One. LEGO CITY Undercover, which was previously a Wii U-exclusive, is an open world sandbox game that features an undercover LEGO cop called Chase McCain....

Since launching in the United States in March 2017, the Nintendo Switch has sold over 4.8 million units. This lofty sales figure means that in just 10 months the new console has become the fastest-selling console ever in the U.S. The previous record holder was the Nintendo Wii, which sold four million units in the same timeframe.
